Are dogs allowed on the train?
Well behaved dogs are normally allowed on the train, but we ask they are kept off the seats. On certain special event days, such as Santa Specials they may not be permitted (with the exception of assistance dogs)
How long does the journey take?
The return journey takes around 30 minutes.
How far does the train go?
The train travels down to Greenrigg Halt, which is just over a mile.
Are there toilets on the train?
Sorry, no. Our rolling stock is mainly 1950’s vintage, which are designed to deposit the toilet waste onto the track. As we have a footpath alongside most of the line, it’s not possible to allow their use. Toilets are available at Lionheart Station.
